We are seeking a motivated and reliable Construction Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in supporting various construction projects by assisting skilled tradespeople and ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist construction workers in various tasks, including site preparation, material handling, and equipment operation.
Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced tradespeople to complete assigned tasks.
Maintain a clean and organized job site by removing debris and hazardous materials.
Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
Help with the setup of scaffolding, ladders, and other temporary structures.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols at all times.
Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors immediately.
Experience
Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required; we welcome entry-level candidates eager to learn.
Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is a plus.
Ability to follow directions accurately and work as part of a team.
Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
