Firetek is a specialty contractor specializing in the installation of firestop systems, fireproofing, caulking & sealants, expansion joint and general construction. The candidate must have minimum 3 years' experience, have an excellent working knowledge of the trade but most important have strong abilities to adapt and learn, constant attention to detail and thoroughness with the many aspects of the position. Candidate must have dependable transportation and a valid drivers license. We are looking for individuals who are organized, dependable, punctual, reliable, honest, detail oriented, dedicated and who can cultivate solid pace, performance and quality workmanship. Job requires 40 (+ occasional overtime) hours per week and must be willing/able travel outside the Kansas City area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Through coordination with the Foreman will organize and manage all the elements involved in construction - installation of temporary and permanent materials, equipment, supplies, utilities, and time. Maintain safe work environment on site & present themselves as a representative of the firm and conduct business on site as in a professional office. Inspect work as it progresses. Ensure that construction proceeds in accordance with schedule and contractual documents.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills and be a self-starter that is willing to work independently and with a team.

Must be an independent thinker and able to provide seasoned leadership in a team environment. Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED EXPERIENCE

Firestopping/Fireproofing/Joint Sealant industry experience

OSHA 10/30
