JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Construction Laborer Reports To: Project Superintendent/Construction Manager
NON-EXEMPT Summary: Assists the Project Superintendents or Construction Managers by performing the following duties to maintain a clean, safe and efficient construction site. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist in monitoring jobsite safety and security requirements. Assist in managing jobsite cleanliness. Assist in monitoring work-in-place quality requirements during all phases of construction. Assist with supervision and coordination of assigned subcontractors. Assist skilled tradespeople in their duties. Cleaning and preparing construction site. Jobsite appearance upkeep and maintenance. Load and unload tools, materials and/or equipment. Build, maintain and remove temporary structures, enclosures, temporary handrails, jobsite fencing, etc. Digging trenches, compacting earth and backfilling holes. Operating and tending machinery and heavy equipment. Review blueprints and take measurements. Use tools like shovels, jackhammers, concrete mixers or nail guns to carry out specific jobs. Track material delivery requirements; coordinate and log material deliveries. Monitor and maintain temporary construction services. Selective demolition. Warehouse organization and maintenance. Equipment and tool maintenance. Perform additional assignments per construction manager and superintendent\xe2\x80\x99s direction. High School Diploma. Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform basic math. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software, Word Processing software, and project scheduling software. Physical Demands:
