Job Responsibilities:
Inspect, observe, and ensure construction projects--including road construction, mass grading and excavation and bridges are completed in accordance with contract plans and specifications.
Interpret plans and specifications to contractors and clients.
Prepare and maintain records of plans, inspections, letters, and reports used in connection with roadway and bridge inspection.
Identify contract changes and assist in preparation of change orders.
Travel to project sites as required.
Qualifications:
Before you apply, make sure you have:
At least 1-2 years of construction inspection experience, with expertise in roadway, pipe installation, bridge construction, or similar types of construction.
Good knowledge of the practices used, and the equipment required on construction projects, particularly in the areas of roadway grading, paving and bridge operations.
Strong ability to work independently and take initiative.
A clean driving record.
Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) IQP qualifications or willingness to take required exams to obtain them preferred.
