This is a three-quarter time position (~30 hours per week, 5 days a week in the office) with outstanding benefits for someone with exceptional skills to join the fun and experienced team of a woman-owned Commercial General Contractor in Redmond, WA. This position has potential to be full-time. We are seeking a seasoned finance professional who will play an important leadership role in guiding the company's financial operations, internal controls, reporting, and strategic fiscal planning.
The ideal candidate has a warm and friendly presence, is skilled, detail-oriented, conscientious, proactive and communicates effectively. A team player who can collaborate with and enrich our engaged and functional team. Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and accounting software experience. Experience in or around the construction industry is required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the business' financial strategy aligns with the company goals
Develop and implement financial strategies for growth and profitability
Analyze financial performance and provide insights to the CEO * Oversee financial risk management
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with GAAP; monitor and maintain the control systems for the processing of revenue, fixed assets, and payroll, provide financial analyses, ensuring compliance with company policies and internal control safeguards
  • Ensure preparation of financial statements and provide interpretation
  • Oversee Accounts Payable
  • Support Payroll Team
  • Maintain schedules for fixed assets, prepaids, and financial leasing
  • Manage cash flow and determine cash requirements
  • Manage month and year-end close
  • Review and/or prepare monthly account reconciliations
  • Compile and distribute monthly financial management reports
  • Manage monthly and quarterly state, city and local B&O tax returns
  • Assist outside CPAs with annual review and Federal Income Tax Returns
  • Maintain good working relationship with banker, bonding company, insurance company and others
  • Conduct insurance audits as needed
  • Maintain and manage business licensure
  • Design, implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures and company-wide internal controls
  • Maximize efficiencies, organize work processes and procedures, and automate procedures through system improvements
  • Manage, coach and mentor accounting staff
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline such as Finance, Accounting, or Business Management and/or relevant combination of education and experience.
  • Five+ years prior experience in the Construction Industry.
  • Corti is a drug-free and smoke-free workplace. Candidate must pass a drug test and criminal background screening.
  • Strong knowledge of aspects of the construction industry including accounting products, processes, and uses.
  • Knowledge of Trimble/Viewpoint or other construction management software and Microsoft Office products.
Compensation:
  • Full Time Equivalent Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000
