We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Construction Assistant Superintendent to support daily job site operations on an active hotel renovation project in Sedona, Arizona. This role plays a critical part in keeping the job site organized, safe, and running efficiently by assisting the Construction Superintendent and Project Manager with site coordination, labor tracking, and quality control.
This is a hands-on, field-based position ideal for someone with construction experience who is organized, proactive, and motivated to grow in leadership.
Responsibilities
Assist the Construction Superintendent with daily job site operations and coordination
Sign in all workers, subcontractor, and vendors daily and maintain accurate labor records
Receive, verify, and document material and equipment deliveries
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to support daily work activities
Monitor work quality and report deficiencies or issues to the Superintendent
Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to verify work aligns with project requirements
Assist with safety enforcement and participate in weekly safety meetings
Maintain daily field notes, job reports, delivery logs, inspection records, and progress documentation
Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site
Perform limited hands-on trade work as needed
Ideal Candidate
Experience in construction, commercial/residential renovation, and site supervision (Assistant Superintendent or similar role preferred)
Ability to read and understand blueprints, plans, and work orders
Working knowledge of construction safety practices and OSHA standards
Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Is able to problem-solve
Proficient in Excel and Word, or similar documentation tools and basic construction management software knowledge
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrate a reliable, responsive and on-time work ethic
Possession of a current and valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is mandatory

Bolco Construction is a regional construction company that is hiring for an ongoing project in Sedona, AZ. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team. The project includes a new construction, hotel renovation and experience with commercial/residential construction is desirable. Housing and mileage needs are provided for those commuting. Required to be on-site at least 4 days a week (more info provided to meet individual and project needs).
