R2 Design Build focuses on Tenant Improvement and base building projects, primarily in creative office and loft office style buildings owned by our principals. We do not do ground up work. Our projects range from small TI work for incoming or existing office tenants to full adaptive re-use projects. The nature of our work is in existing buildings, often with unknown or recently discovered conditions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with Project Manager and ownership to bid, schedule, and implement project plans for commercial office interior buildouts and base building work.
Manage assigned pay applications, contracts, and subcontractors.
Develop and manage project timelines.
Report on project(s) progress on both budget and schedule
Act as main contact and coordinator for assigned projects.
Review drawings, work with subcontractors on RFI's
Manage supply and material orders
Work directly with ownership and tenant contacts
Actively work to identify, communicate and resolve potential issues.
This position is best suited for someone who enjoys problem solving, is very organized, and is comfortable with changing project conditions. Our Project Managers "own" projects. Successful candidates are people who seek responsibility, enjoy hands on work and being involved in details. Due to the nature of our work, which is often in occupied buildings, before or afterhours work is often required. This position is best suited for someone with 2-3 years of experience in project management or in a prior role as a project engineer.
