Position Overview

As a Loader Operator, you will report directly to the Plant Manager and play a key role in safely operating and maintaining heavy equipment while supporting plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a loader to charge ready-mix plants and transport materials (sand, gravel, etc.). Conduct daily preventative maintenance (e.g., tire pressure, oil, hoses, grease, and fuel checks). Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections on the loader and plant equipment. Maintain and clean stockpile areas, aggregate charging hoppers, and yard areas. Assist in inventory processes and report any maintenance needs. Support compliance with safety protocols (OSHA, TCEQ) and ensure lockout/tag-out procedures are followed. Perform conveyor belt maintenance and assist with general plant repairs. Cross-train across various plant operations as needed.

Requirements

Experience:

Minimum six months operating and maintaining a front-end loader.

Physical Fitness:

Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work in high areas (up to 100 feet). Must be able to lift heavy objects, tolerate outdoor conditions, and perform repetitive tasks (e.g., climbing into loader 30+ times/day). Comfortable working in a noisy, physically demanding environment. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to work flexible hours (early mornings, evenings, and Saturdays).
