Overview

IET Systems is seeking an experienced Concrete Laborer. This position will require experience from start to finish of concrete work with minimum supervision.

As a Concrete Laborer, you will assist with various tasks related to concrete work, site preparation, and finishing, ensuring safety, precision, and efficiency on every project.

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG TEST AND BACKGROUND CHECK

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Assist with the preparation of construction sites, including setting up forms, scaffolding, and safety barriers. Operate and maintain concrete mixers, pumps, power tools, and hand tools to facilitate pouring and finishing concrete. Install rebar reinforcement according to blueprints and schematics to strengthen concrete structures. Perform concrete pouring, leveling, screeding, finishing, and curing processes to achieve smooth surfaces. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate placement of forms, rebar, and other structural elements. Support masonry tasks such as stucco application, tile laying, plastering, and metal stud framing when needed. Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely across the job site while adhering to safety protocols. Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers or forklifts when required for material handling or site setup. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a secure work environment at all times. Assist with demolition or restoration work during renovation projects as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in commercial or industrial concrete work Mechanical knowledge related to tools, mixers, pumps, power tools, and heavy equipment operation. Ability to read technical drawings and follow layout specifications Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting (50+ lbs.) and prolonged standing or walking. Familiarity with rebar installation, form building (concrete forming), flooring installation, tile laying or masonry techniques is desirable. Valid driver's license for commercial driving or operating heavy equipment may be required depending on project needs. Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude towards safety and quality standards.
