Provide technical assistance to internal computer users. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for employees in person, via telephone, or electronically. Assist in the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, word processing software, email, and operating systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.
Observe computer system to verify correct operations and detect errors.
Install and perform repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.
Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
Maintain records of problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities.
Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
Develop training materials and procedures, and train users in the proper use of hardware or software.
Prepare evaluations of software or hardware, and recommend improvements or upgrades.
Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities and materials needed to do certain work.
Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule.
Any other tasks as assigned by Wald Wire Management.

Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Information Technology
Experience in the manufacturing environment preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
Working knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and basic programming.
Ability to read, understand, and interpret English.
