This position is seeking an energetic, motivated, and dedicated
Computer Science IT
Intern
with strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to
learn. The intern will work closely with our IT team on a variety of technology-related projects, gaining hands-on experience in systems, networks, cybersecurity, and
enterprise applications. We offer the opportunity to contribute to an enterprise-level environment, focusing on the successful management and completion of IT projects that align with the organization's strategic goals and initiatives. The role is designed to provide exposure to both technical operations and project-based work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The IT Computer Programming Intern has a primary responsibility to assist in managing systems and networks, troubleshooting hardware and software, and
supporting enterprise technologies. The ideal candidate must combine strong technical knowledge with problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills. The Intern will directly report to a Director of IT. Specific duties include but are not limited to:
Demonstrates ability to work in accordance with the Savilinx Guiding Principles.
Programming & Scripting: Powershell, Json, and Microsoft Graph.
Automation: Power BI and Azure Automation.
Operating Systems: Understanding Windows 10, Windows 11, and Microsoft Datacenter.
Cybersecurity Basics: Awareness of authentication, encryption, malware prevention, email security and best security practices.
Cloud Computing: Exposure and general knowledge of Azure Host pools, Azure Virtual Machines, Intune, Autopilot and Office 365
Systems Administration: General knowledge of Microsoft Entra, Office 365, and SharePoint
SOP and Documentation: Skilled at documenting workflow process to create SOP documentation and knowledge bases for users and technicians.
Version Control Systems: Ability to use version control tools for collaboration such as Scribe, Superops and Office 365 tools.
Troubleshooting: Familiar with ticketing, documentation, runbooks and process management to support helpdesk function.
The Intern will learn from, and be supervised by, a Director of IT
Ensures privacy, confidentiality, and precision with all work.
Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of the job
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
No Supervisory responsibility.
EXPECTED WORKDAYS/ HOURS:
This position will require work Monday-Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A graduate level IT Computer Science Intern currently enrolled in a program with a focus on computer science at the Roux Institute
A strong interest in Computer Science as a career is preferred
Prior work experience in Computer Science is preferred
Provide assistance to the Director of IT with Computer Science projects
Have an academic level of written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills to actively listen, communicate in ways that foster trust and show flexibility
Team spirit and the ability to work with a group of diverse people, provide recognition and reward
Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment under deadline pressures
Ability to manage own workload independently, multi-task, and prioritize effectively

High computer literacy
Perform other project management related task and other duties as assigned by the supervisor

IT Troubleshooting and Support
o GOAL: To be able to diagnose and resolve technical issues for end-users.
o OBJECTIVE: The Intern will gain experience in responding to support requests, documenting issues, and applying structured troubleshooting techniques.
o OUTCOME: The Computer Science Intern should have a general understanding of IT support workflows and customer service practices.
Database and Application Management
o GOAL: To be able to work with databases and enterprise applications to support IT operations.
o OBJECTIVE: The Intern will assist while installing, updating and maintaining databases and applications while following organizational standards.
o OUTCOME: The Intern should have a general understanding of database management and application lifecycle processes.
Communication and Collaboration
o GOAL: To be able to collaborate effectively with IT team members, stakeholders and end-users.
o OBJECTIVE: The Intern will assist in installing, updating, and maintaining databases and applications while following organizational standards.
o OUTCOME: The Computer Science Intern should have a general understanding of database management and application lifecycle processes.
