Job Title: Computer Operator Direct

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our client's team in the tech industry. In this role, you will contribute to maintaining the inventory of magnetic computer tapes, coordinating media needs, and ensuring the smooth operation of the tape library.
Responsibilities

Serve as the primary individual to perform projects within the tape library.
Coordinate and manage all tape pools, including creating, expanding, and reducing pools and labeling tapes.
Verify all disks/tapes for outgoing client shipments.
Address any media catalog issues for users or archive personnel.
Ensure compliance with all relevant Quality Assurance procedures and departmental working practices.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent or College Degree.
Three to five years of tape technician or computer operations experience.
Strong computer skills and understanding of databases.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under time constraints.

Preferred Qualifications (if any)

Knowledge of MMS tape management.
Experience in handling and maintaining computer tapes.
