Opportunity is here. We are DISH. Job Duties and Responsibilities:


DISH is looking for a Compression Lead Technician who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and continuity of the department. In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to the Compression team in maintaining all compression systems at our uplink facility. This will involve learning and applying various troubleshooting techniques for digital audio, video, and RF. Your technical proficiency and expertise will be invaluable in helping us achieve our goals and deliver high-quality services to our clients.


Key responsabilities:

• 
  Ensures effective monitoring of all compression systems including verification of proper system operation and escalates as required.
• Switches defective equipment to backup.
• Performs advanced troubleshooting.
• Assists in the design, configuration, and troubleshooting of all facets of the DBS networking systems and all related facets of the compression systems.
• Completes all assignments with little or no supervision.
• Creates and modifies system maps.
• Assists in the training and cross-training of other staff.
• Works with other departments and personnel to resolve service issues.
• Meets deadlines and completes assignments promptly while maintaining quality standards.
• Plans and organizes work to accomplish desired objectives or goals and allocates tasks to upcoming shifts.
• Assists with managing facility access by third-party service providers.
• Assists in receiving and shipping items for installation, repair, or reassignment.
• Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of processes and procedures.

Rotating Shift Work:
Days - 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Swings - 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM
Overnight - 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM Skills, Experience and Requirements:


Education: High School Diploma/GED and vocational education preferred.


Experience: 3+ years of progressively related experience.


Skills and requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance/procedure instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to apply common sense based competences to carry out instructions.
• Ability to work alone or unsupervised.
• Advanced computer use and troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of advanced networking protocols and network configurations.
• Must be detail oriented and willing to work shift.

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role\'s location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
Salary Range: USD $25.96 - $30.29 / Hour
