Job Description

Comprehensive Community Services is a mental health intervention provided in or outside of the youth's home, designed to evaluate, manage, monitor, stabilize and support the youth's well-being and enhance the capabilities of the youth. CCS for Youth is a voluntary program that provides support and services to Milwaukee County youth, young adults and their families, who are coping with mental health and/or substance abuse diagnosis. Utilizing a strength based and individual process, CCS coordinates resources to help people achieve their life goals.

Responsibilities:

a) Workers must engage with youth, families, parents/caregivers, and all Child & Family Team members, and provide crisis services in an ethical, respectful, responsible manner.

b) Workers must be able to implement the Crisis Plan/POC strategies and be available as needed by youth/family.

c) Workers must be able to clearly and thoroughly document all interventions and contacts.

d) Workers must engage in initial and ongoing training and supervision as mandated by DHS 34.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in a relevant area of education or human services. Valid Wisconsin driver's license and liability insurance. 1 year experience working in a mental health related setting. Knowledge base of individual and family issues and dynamics. Ability to display cultural competence and sensitivity to the populations we service by responding respectfully and effectively to people of all cultures, socioeconomic characteristics, languages, classes, races, ethnic backgrounds, religions, and other diversity factors. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to use vehicles for work related duties according to the agency's insurance liability standards. Ability to accurately perform record keeping and documentation entries and do so within the required time frame.

Working Conditions :

General Community Center Environment Community and in home setting during client visits. Travel approximately 100% using your vehicle. Must have access to a computer or tablet to enter notes.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
