We're building something exceptional and we're looking for a Compounding Lab Manager who wants to play a pivotal leadership role in that growth.

This isn't a corporate bureaucracy. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who takes ownership, leads from the front, and is passionate about building a high-performing compounding operation.

Position Summary



We are seeking an experienced

Compounding Lab Manager

to oversee day-to-day operations of our sterile and non-sterile compounding labs. This role is responsible for:

Leading and managing a team of compounding technicians Ensuring uncompromising quality and regulatory compliance Upholding and improving SOPs and lab standards Maintaining a clean, safe, well-organized lab environment Driving consistency, accuracy, and excellence in production
This is a leadership role for someone who cares deeply about patient outcomes, workflow efficiency, quality systems, and team development.

Key Responsibilities:



Leadership & Team Management



Lead, train, mentor, and develop compounding technicians Set performance expectations and hold the team accountable Create a positive, supportive, high-performance culture Oversee scheduling, workload distribution, and productivity

Sterile & Non-Sterile Compounding Operations



Oversee and participate in daily non-sterile and sterile compounding activities Ensure accurate preparation of compounded medications according to prescriptions, formulas, and SOPs Support pharmacists in maintaining compliance and production workflow Troubleshoot production challenges and ensure smooth lab operations

Quality, Compliance & Safety



Maintain USP <795>, <797>, and <800> compliance standards Ensure adherence to SOPs and support SOP development, revisions, and continuous improvement Maintain documentation and logs with precision and accuracy Lead environmental monitoring readiness, cleaning processes, and lab discipline Maintain a clean, well-organized, inspection-ready environment at all times

Operational Excellence



Ensure efficiency in workflow and production output Oversee inventory levels of compounding chemicals, supplies, and equipment Support continuous process improvement initiatives Partner closely with pharmacy leadership to ensure operational alignment

Qualifications:



Required



Active Michigan Pharmacy Technician License Prior compounding experience (

sterile and/or non-sterile

) Strong leadership or supervisory experience (preferred, or clear ability to lead) Deep understanding of USP standards and cleanroom discipline Exceptional attention to detail and organization Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and professionalism

Preferred



Previous experience as a lead technician, supervisor, or manager Experience in a 503A compounding pharmacy Experience working with both sterile and non-sterile environments

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
