Position Description:
Setup and operate equipment used in threading, cutting, notching or drilling stainless steel, carbon steel and copper-nickel parts, making adjustments necessary to comply with drawings, quality and methods procedures. Person will also run the sand blaster when needed.Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to interact with others and be self-motivated to maximize production.
- Read and understand blue prints.
- Operate and read all measuring devices
- Setup and operate various equipment used in threading, cutting, notching or drilling different types of pipe.
- Stops machine to change cutting tools and setup according to required machining sequence or to measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
- Enters commands or manually adjusts machine controls to correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
- Requires employee to perform other jobs as needed
- Assist in Personnel training as required
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Requires ability to read and interpret complicated shop drawings.
- Requires a strong mechanical background as well as the ability to use simple math with both decimals and fractions.
- Must wear safety protective equipment at all times.
