Overview

We are seeking an exceptional, compassionate and dedicated Companion/Homemaker to provide support and companionship to our very discerning clients. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients in their home setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment and a genuine passion for helping others.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. According to care plans, prompt for medication reminders. Provide companionship through engaging conversations, activities, and emotional support. Thinking outside of the box is a must! Implement care plans tailored to individual needs. Assist with mobility safety and transportation needs, including walking or accompanying clients to appointments, shopping or leisure activities. Support clients with dementia care by using appropriate techniques to enhance communication and understanding. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety protocols. Plan and prepare meals, light housekeeping & laundry.

Qualifications

Previous experience in Companion /Homemaker or senior care is preferred but not required.

CPR certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not already held. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients. Compassionate nature with patience and understanding. Ability to follow care plans accurately while being attentive to the changing needs of clients. Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations. Must have reliable transportation. Must be flexible with scheduling. Clients needs change all the time. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
