Job Overview

We are seeking a new full time compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Companion to cover all shifts. You will provide essential support and companionship to our clients in their homes. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with varying needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to resident rights and demonstrate a genuine passion for senior care.

MUST HAVE SOME WEEKEND AVAILABILITY!

Responsibilities

Assist clients with light daily living activities, including meals, driving to and from appointments, light house keeping, household tasks etc. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities. Monitor client health by checking vital signs and reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Support clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met through cooking and dietary management. Assist with mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary, to help clients move safely around their home or during outings. Provide memory care support for clients experiencing cognitive challenges, ensuring their safety and comfort. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as needed. Uphold rights by respecting privacy, dignity, and independence at all times.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home community care or senior care is preferred. Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond effectively in emergencies. Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and the ability to recognize changes in health status. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for client mobility assistance. Certification in memory care or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
