Position Summary

ABiLITY is seeking a dedicated and compassionate

Community Supports Direct Support Professional (DSP)

to join our team. In this role, you will support individuals with developmental disabilities in learning essential living skills, building confidence, and participating in community-based activities. You will also play an active role in

driving transportation routes

,

coaching in Special Olympics

, and

assisting with recreation events

that promote inclusion and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Provide person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities. Teach and assist with daily living skills that encourage independence and self-determination. Safely operate agency vehicles to transport individuals to and from programs, appointments, and community outings. Drive established transportation routes as assigned. Participate in and assist with

Special Olympics coaching

, practices, and competitions. Support and attend

recreation program events

, which may occasionally include evenings or weekends. Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and team members to ensure quality care and service delivery. Maintain documentation and follow all agency and regulatory policies. Promote ABiLITY's mission and uphold our core values in all interactions.

Qualifications

Compassionate, patient, and dependable team players

Minimum 25 years of age*
High school diploma or GED required Valid Chauffeur's License, or willingness to obtain CPR, First Aid, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, and Medication Aide certifications, or willingness to obtain Reliable and safe transportation

Ability to be flexible and "go with the flow" -- every day is different*

Full-Time Monday-Friday Evenings and weekends on occasion
