The American Indian Public Health Resource Center's Community Health Program Assistant supports community health initiatives by assisting with outreach, education, data collection, and program coordination. This position helps ensure that public health services are accessible, culturally responsive, and effective in improving community well-being.

Community Outreach and Engagement:



Engage with community members to share health information and resources. Assist in planning and delivering health education events, community activities, and services. Build relationships with individuals and partner organizations to increase program participation and awareness. Provide culturally appropriate health information.

AIPHRC Program Support, Coordination, and Administrative:



Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of projects focused on public health services, education, policy, and research. Develop and maintain project timelines, deliverables, and progress tracking. Collect, enter, and maintain accurate data for program evaluation and reporting. Facilitate meetings and collaborations with internal and external partners. Assist with travel for the team and self Collaborate with project managers and operations staff to identify, complete, and submit grant applications and project contracts. Perform general administrative duties such as social media, outreach, filing, and inquiries.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Hiring Range:

$40,684-$54,246



Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.

Minimum Qualifications:



High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) Associate's degree or at least 2 years of relevant experience in public health, community health, and program coordination. Experience in community engagement, health outreach, or a related field. Experience working in or with Tribal communities or programs.

Preferred Qualifications:



Lived experience in the community being served. Knowledge of local health resources, social services, or public health issues Demonstrated experience working in or with Tribal communities or programs. Experience in grant writing and reporting

Strong cultural competency and understanding of American Indian and Alaska Native public health issues. Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks with competing internal/external deadlines Ability to organize project tasks to ensure that deliverables are completed within designated time frames Ability to work effectively in a team environment Demonstrated professional aptitude and competency Excellent written and oral communication skills and collaboration skills Excellent organizational, planning, writing, and project management skills Proficient in Microsoft Office software, document preparation Must be able to work flexible and extended hours (travel throughout the state required, occasionally overnight) Valid driver's license
