Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Community Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management and customer service, focusing on maintaining high occupancy rates and fostering positive relationships with residents. This role requires a blend of administrative skills, legal knowledge, and conflict management abilities to ensure compliance with housing regulations and enhance community satisfaction.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, maintenance, and resident relations.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant laws.
- Utilize property management software, such as AppFolio.
- Conduct regular property inspections to maintain standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Handle resident inquiries and complaints effectively, using conflict management techniques to resolve issues promptly.
- Facilitate lease renewals while promoting available services or amenities to residents.
- Maintain accurate records related to contracts, sales activities, and administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the community through various channels.
Experience
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administration is preferred.
- Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on relationship building.
- Proficient in sales techniques and negotiation strategies to enhance leasing efforts.
- Prior experience in facilities management or property maintenance is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for effective data entry and record keeping.
- Demonstrated ability in office administration tasks, including phone etiquette, filing, and general administrative support.
