We are looking for a Community Engagement Specialist, to join in leading the organization forward. McLaren Health Plan (MHP) is a Managed Care Organization dedicated to meeting the health care needs of each member. MHP and its subsidiaries offer multiple product lines, including employer plans, individual and family plans, Medicaid and Medicare plans, to Michigan residents for every stage of life. Position Summary: Responsible for achieving established goals improving the Plan\xe2\x80\x99s Membership growth for all lines of business. The community engagement specialist will promote the Plan\xe2\x80\x99s core values and services by implementing outreach activities in assigned area. The position is responsible for assisting the Plan in attracting and retaining membership in the Plan through efforts including building and maintaining relationships with community partners.
This is a hybrid position with requirements to come onsite as scheduled with leader, Flint MI. Will include travel around the state of Michigan.
Qualifications: Required:

• Associate Degree in business, health care or related field.
• Two (2) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a community-focused outreach, marketing, or customer service position specific to health care.

OR

• High School Diploma/GED and four (4) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a community-focused outreach, marketing, or customer service position specific to health care.
• Valid state driver\xe2\x80\x99s license, reliable transportation and automobile insurance coverage required
• Must obtain Community Health Worker certification within 90 days of hire if not already certified and must be maintained during employment.

Preferred:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in business, health care or related field.
• Five (5) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a community-focused outreach, marketing, or customer service position specific to health care.
