Job Description


Public Engagement, part of Corporate Responsibility, supports this mission by building authentic and enduring relationships with key stakeholders to shape the firm\'s approach to serving clients, customers and communities. Public Engagement is seeking a Southeast Community Engagement Market Manager to support the firm\'s long-term success and drive positive, lasting community-centered impact.

The Community Engagement Market Manager will report to the Southeast Community Engagement Region Director and will be an external and internal role supporting the strategy and activities of the team in the seven-state Southeast region. The Market Manager will strategically engage consumer, business and nonprofit leaders; play a critical role in internal CR coordination and market planning; ensure compliance with market-based Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) goals, and provide leadership and guidance to firm business partners. The Market Manager will also be the primary CRA officer for several markets in the Southeast.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage grant portfolio and identify prospective partners, community issues, and engagement opportunities aligned with CRA goals and market strategy
  • Provide responsive and innovative CD services in furtherance of CRA goals and market strategy ; coordinate deployment of executives and other employees in CD service opportunities
  • Represent the firm during key partner meetings and coordinate internally with CR, Business Resource Groups (BRGs), Volunteer Leadership Groups (VLGs), etc. to leverage nonprofit relationships in support of our CRA goals and market strategy
  • Provide programmatic and logistical support during convenings such as Community Advisory Panels, listening sessions, business coalitions, and support internal CR coordination and contribute to market business planning process by drafting and managing presentation decks, materials, and spreadsheets
  • Assist with executive market visits, including supporting the development of agenda and coordinating internal and external activities, and s upport maintenance of stakeholder analysis/audits and outreach tracking for engagement and risk mitigation
  • Contribute to market communications strategy and support the development of communications tools, including talking points, grant overviews, brochures, briefing documents, and other necessary materials
  • Track market projects and activities to document effective strategies and m anage the execution of JPMC sponsored/hosted activations during conferences, convenings and other meetings

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • At least 5 years\' experience in community relations, community/economic development and/or grantmaking
  • Thought leader and subject matter expertise on issues that impact the Firm\'s reputation and business operations, including financial inclusion, housing and community development and small business a plus
  • Ability to represent the firm in diverse forums, with community leaders, advocates and influential stakeholders
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills; PowerPoint and Excel skills; strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
  • Desire to seek information and look for new approaches to processes and practices
  • Frequent domestic travel across the region
