What we offer:



Salary: $43,000 - $45,000

Group health, vision, and dental coverage at affordable rates, along with family coverage if you choose to purchase it. Preventative care is 100% covered (free) on all plans. PTO is offered to full-time and part-time employees. 11 days of PTO and 10 paid holidays annually. Option to participate in the 401K plan with employer match. $15,000 in employee Life Insurance paid for by Metropolitan Ministries. Employee Assistance Program Option to participate in supplemental group insurance plans at affordable rates. Tuition reimbursement program Training and career development. Job Functions:




The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for building and strengthening relationships with community members, organizations, and stakeholders to support the mission and vision of the organization. This role focuses on outreach, engagement, and coordination of collaborative initiatives that promote community involvement, increase program participation, and foster long-term partnerships.

Essential Responsibilities:



Represent the organization at community meetings, events, and public forums. Gather feedback from community members to inform program development and service delivery. Ensure engagement efforts are inclusive and culturally responsive. Identify, cultivate, and maintain strategic partnerships with local organizations, businesses, schools, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Act as a liaison between the organization and community partners to support collaborative projects and events. Track partnership activities and ensure regular communication and follow-up. Coordinate and support community-facing events, workshops, and informational sessions. Collaborate with internal teams to promote and implement community-based programming. Distribute outreach, program, and organizational information to promote community engagement and program understanding. Maintain up-to-date contact list of community partners and ongoing communication and engagement efforts. Track and report engagement metrics, attendance at events, and partner activities. Assist with preparing reports for internal KPI reporting. Stay current on community resources, eligibility requirements, and program changes. Meet personal goals and actively contribute to the achievement of team and organizational targets/goals as stated on the KPI and in the annual plan. Attend required staff meetings and on-going trainings. Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:




Minimum of a high school diploma with three years of experience working with underserved or marginalized populations. Associate's degree in human services with two years of experience working with underserved or marginalized populations is preferred. Must be knowledgeable in issues related to homelessness, poverty, and diversity.

Skills Requirements:




Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team framework. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and professional backgrounds. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other data reporting tools. Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as accept direction.

Physical Requirements:




Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. Local travel is required for events, partnership meetings, and community collaboration efforts.

Other:




Must pass applicable pre-employment screening and demonstrate legal authorization to work in the United States. Must be able to communicate effectively in English. May need to work evenings or weekends occasionally for community events. Hybrid or remote work arrangements are available based on organizational policies and procedures.
