Position: Community Communications Coordinator

This person should be comfortable managing details, timelines, and communications while representing The CAUSE in a positive, professional, and community-focused manner.

REQUIREMENTS:



- Excellent communication skills with ability to engage youth and adults.

- 2-4 year college degree preferred, strong candidates with HS Diploma/GED may be considered.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Youth and/or Media Production.

- 3 References who will be contacted by phone.

- Must have reliable transportation, travel is involved. Milage for job related travel is reimbursed.

- The ability to work some weekends and/or evenings.

MUST PASS Criminal Background Check as per Delaware Laws to be able to work with youth.



JOB DESCRIPTION:



The CAUSE has multiple community programs running simultaneously and we are searching for an organized self-starter who can help us in coordinating outreach programs and events, maintaining program records and mailing lists, and a variety of community communications tasks such as newsletters and coordinating with a media team on various projects. There are youth interns at the office to assist, and the candidate will be a co-supervisor of the interns. This is an in-office part time position in a fun and exciting community with opportunities to grow the position if interested.

JOB DUTIES:



Coordinate and manage booking requests for CAUSE services, including PSA video booths, workshops, and trainings Coordinating with editors and social media managers to ensure timely completion and posting of media Maintain program participant records and demographic data for state reporting requirements Assist in organizing Events, celebrating all participating organizations and partners. Manage and update the

and

website

for event updates and resources. Assist in tracking and reporting program outcomes monthly, quarterly, and annually for funders and leadership. Create and distribute a monthly newsletters highlighting events, opportunities, and partner updates. Including DPP CAUSE and others Develop promotional materials (flyers, graphics, reminders) to support coalition engagement and training attendance. Collaborate with the social media manager to share partner events and initiatives online. Manage and update the community partner directory and mailing listfor event updates and resources. Co-Manage teen interns

Required Qualifications



Experience working with youth Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated project management and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple programs and priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications



Experience in government or nonprofitsectors. Background in youth engagement, prevention, or community wellness Skills in event planning, graphic design, or video editing Experience managing social media collaborations and basic website maintenance.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
