The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for creating and managing the Cain Center\'s internal and external communications. The Coordinator will contribute to the development of a communications SOP/plan, manage the department\'s digital presence, ensure brand management, produce a monthly newsletter, maintain an events packet and assist with event planning, edit program specific content to ensure a unified voice and will serve as the Cain Center\'s communications contact.

Job Duties:

40%- Manage the Cain Center and affiliate websites including content updates, design and layout, UX and accessibility. Use digital analytics for marketing purposes. Oversee and contribute to the department\'s online presence. Ensure communication consistency in digital formats including methods to deliver messages, ease of navigation, and clarity of information.

30%- Curate, create and edit content and design for a monthly newsletter, recruitment materials, information fliers, press releases, and general outreach materials ensuring program specific content is synthesized for various target audiences.

20%- Maintain and update an event packet highlighting department programs ensuring content is current. Lead event planning for stakeholder events/conferences ensuring department presence exemplifies the communication and outreach strategies. Organize and purchase marketing materials and promotional items.

5%- Serve as university communications liaison ensuring adherence to university policies and procedures. Regularly attend university trainings and meetings relevant to communications and digital accessibility.

5%- Works collaboratively with the Office of Communications and University Relations and adheres to the standards set therein. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education Level: Bachelor\'s

Specific Degree Required: Bachelor\'s degree in English, Mass Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Public Relations, or related field.

Specific Experience: Creating content, graphic design, website management

Preferred Qualifications:

3 years in a University setting creating content with communications, marketing, and/or event coordination responsibilities. At least one year experience managing external communications such as social media and web content.
