As the Communications Specialist for the Strategic Enterprise Initiative and Accountability (SEIA), you will support the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) communications function - both internally and externally, support agency programs, events, and activities through development, delivery and coaching of individuals involved with public relations. You will provide education, promotion, design, content creation and related communications services for DAS activities and aid in responding to media and public records requests. What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:


  • A Bachelor\'s Degree in Business or Public Administration, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or the Behavioral or Social Sciences or related degree, OR;

  • Three years technical or higher-level experience directly related to the position under recruitment.


Desired Attributes:

  • Professional experience with media tools such as websites, podcasts, video production, blogs, etc..

  • Experience working within communications, media relations or public relations.

  • Experience creating social media content at the professional level (e.g., on behalf of an organization or entity).

  • Communication & technical writing skills - experience communicating detailed information to a diverse audience, both verbally and in writing, including producing written documents at the professional level with expert attention to grammar, spelling and punctuation.

  • Experience managing personal workload and deliverables while meeting numerous firm deadlines with frequent interruptions in daily work schedule.

  • Knowledge of and experience in Microsoft products.
