Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

Commercial Roofing Superintendent

to oversee and manage field operations for metal roofing projects. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of commercial metal roofing systems, proven leadership abilities, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise daily operations of commercial metal roofing crews. Plan, schedule, and coordinate labor, materials, and equipment to meet project deadlines. Ensure all roofing work meets manufacturer specifications, building codes, and project requirements. Enforce and promote company and OSHA safety standards on-site. Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents. Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and subcontractors to resolve issues. Conduct quality control inspections throughout project lifecycle. Maintain accurate daily reports on manpower, material usage, progress, and site conditions. Mentor, train, and develop field staff for growth and performance.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial roofing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong expertise in metal roofing systems (standing seam, R-panel, architectural, etc.). Knowledge of construction safety regulations (OSHA 30 preferred). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Skills

Experience with project management software or field reporting tools. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. NCCER or other roofing/construction certifications.
