We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors, as well as managing project schedules, budgets, and resources. This position requires a strong understanding of commercial construction, project management principles, and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, manage and maintain a comprehensive project plan, including scope, schedule, budget, and resources necessary to complete the project.
Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams, to ensure project expectations are met and issues are addressed in a timely manner.
Manage project budgets, including establishing and tracking project costs, reviewing project invoices, and ensuring project expenses are within budget.
Coordinate and manage subcontractors and vendors, including soliciting bids, negotiating contracts, and managing their work on the project.
Oversee project schedules, including monitoring progress, identifying and mitigating delays, and ensuring project milestones are met.
Manage project risks and issues, including identifying potential problems, developing mitigation plans, and communicating with stakeholders as needed.
Ensure project quality, including overseeing quality control processes, monitoring project deliverables, and ensuring they meet project expectations.
Facilitate project meetings, including project kick-off, progress, and close-out meetings.
Prepare project reports, including regular status updates and project close-out reports.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
Manage change requests and change orders, including assessing the impact on project scope, schedule, and budget, and communicating with stakeholders as needed.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of project documentation, including project plans, status reports, change orders, and project close-out documents.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in commercial construction project management.
Other Requirements:
Strong understanding of commercial construction, project management principles, and applicable regulations and standards.
Proficient in project management software, such as Microsoft Project or similar.
Maintenance of regular attendance

Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Ability to analyze project data and make informed decisions.

Ability to ensure project quality, including overseeing quality control processes, monitoring project deliverables, and ensuring they meet project expectations.
Ability to facilitate project meetings and prepare project reports.
Willingness to obtain other training if deemed necessary in performance of responsibilities and continuing education.
Must be willing to drive and make job site visits.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Normal office conditions apply. Must have clear, close vision for reading and computer work.
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, balance, stoop, grasp, talk, hear and operate computer keyboard.
Job may require reaching at or above shoulder level and below waist. Will occasionally lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds.
May be required to walk throughout the lumberyard or production environment to perform some aspects of assigned duties.
