Estimator

to join our team. This role is key to ensuring accurate quotes, profitable projects, and satisfied customers.

Responsibilities

Review blueprints, site drawings, specifications, and RFQs for commercial/industrial projects Prepare accurate takeoffs for overhead doors, operators, dock equipment and fire doors Communicate with vendors to obtain pricing for materials, equipment, and special components Generate and submit professional proposals and bid packages for sales and service work. Collaborate with sales, project managers, and installers to ensure scope accuracy Track bids, follow up with contractors, and maintain updated job status Assist with change orders, revisions, and project cost adjustments Maintain knowledge of products, codes, and industry standards

Qualifications

Experience in commercial overhead doors, construction estimating, or related field is required Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications Strong math and analytical skills High attention to detail and organizational accuracy Proficiency with estimating software, takeoff tools, or CRM systems. i.e Building Connections Strong communication skills and customer-service mindset Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred (Not Required)

Knowledge of brands such as

Clopay, Overhead Door, , Wayne Dalton, Cornell, Rytec, R&S

etc. Experience estimating fire-rated doors, high-speed doors, and industrial operators
