Overview:
**This position is located in our Perry, NY Operations Center. Selected candidate must be available to work in office five (5) days per week.**
Responsible for processing all payments received on commercial loans, review reports for payments which were processed incorrectly, field calls from branches in regards to how payments should be applied, reverse and re-apply payments when applied incorrectly, review reports for loan issues, serve as back to Commercial Loan Operations Specialists and Associates when required. Comply with operating policies and procedures established for Commercial loan services function, communicate with appropriate colleagues or customers, respond to more complex inquiries or requests for information from customers, lenders, assistants and other CLO team members, maintain appropriate records and provide assigned reports. Responsibilities:

• Process payments received for commercial loans on a daily basis
• Review daily reports for payments and adjustments performed on loans and detect any that have specialized processing requirements to eliminate and/or correct errors
• Verify specific on-line maintenance for accuracy
• Consult with and Train branch personnel and other Commercial Loan Operations personnel on accurate procedures for processing specialized transactions
• Interact with lenders and assistants via email, jabber or phone for the purpose of:

• explaining what was done incorrectly when a transaction is processed incorrectly
• request additional information if they have not provided sufficient information to perform a task
• request information on payments received that are out of the ordinary for a specific loan (example - additional loan payment for a loan on auto transfer).
• Perform specialized operational duties associated with commercial loan operations
• Research and resolve loan inquiries from internal & external customers/ employees
• Maintain Commercial Credit files with Vital Records Control (off-site storage vendor for commercial loan files located in PA) to include tracking information forwarded to storage facilities and maintaining accurate records of file location
• Assist with maintaining up to date policies and procedures for the team
• Assist with training of team members
• Serve as backup to payments and special products coordinator
• Maintains the highest level of confidentiality with all information obtained
• Perform other related job duties as assigned by supervisor
• Adheres to regulatory and technical requirements of outside agencies as applicable for loan products
• Provide backup support for the other loan operations staff

Qualifications:
Associate's degree in accounting and three years Commercial Loan Servicing Support OR Five years' experience in Commercial Loan Servicing/Support required.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills required.
Proficient written and oral communication skills.
Working knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures which impact commercial loan servicing.
Ability to analyze data to determine what caused payment problems, and/or to identify suggestions for changes that will increase operational efficiencies.
