Wanted: Commercial Laundry & Dry Cleaning Service Technician

Weinberg Supply & Equipment offers laundry equipment installation and repair services across the state of Minnesota as well as serving North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and Wisconsin. We are currently hiring laundry equipment installation and repair technicians who have previous experience or individuals without experience who have a mechanical aptitude and are motivated to learn more.

Position Summary: As a service technician you will install or repair washers, dryers and dry cleaning equipment at various client locations. An ideal Candidate is someone who enjoys working independently and has a mechanical and/or electrical background. Equipment installation requires the ability to receive equipment, drill and set anchors, level and bolt down equipment, venting, plumbing and electrical work. Job includes heavy lifting and use of power tools. Collaborative work and customer service skills are required.

Primary Responsibilities

-Travel to customer jobsites installing, maintaining and repairing laundry and dry cleaning equipment.

-Disassembles machines and examines mechanical and electrical parts.

-Reassembles equipment, adjusts pulleys and lubricates moving parts.

-Replaces worn or defective parts and adjusts motors as necessary.

-Cleans and washes parts.

-Advises of machines in the field that should be replaced with new equipment

-Perform or assist in the testing and subsequent adjustment of equipment prior to and during system startups.

-Troubleshoot equipment and execute repairs and maintenance of systems using schematics or wiring diagrams.

-Cleans and cosmetically repairs equipment and cleans work areas of client's facility during and after installation.

-Produce timely and detailed service reports.

-Drives a company vehicle to and from work locations.

-Other duties as assigned

Requirements

-High school diploma or GED equivalent.

-Strong proven mechanical aptitude.

-Good communication skills and ability to follow direction from onsite foreperson or service manager via phone.

-Must be able to use basic tools like wrenches, tape measures, drills, power saws, and grinders for example.

-Must be comfortable working in a construction site environment.

-Ability to lift 50 lbs. and 100 lbs. with dual assist lift.

-Valid driver's license and good driving record.

-Ability to travel locally and through the Upper Mid-west.

-Must be able to work 10 or more hours a day when at job site location and needs completion.

-Ability to stand or walk the entire shift.

This is a full time position and pay is commensurate with experience, expected range $25-32 /hour

Industry training on products and systems will be provided.
