Job Description

Hogan Construction Group is seeking qualified candidates for the Senior Estimator / Preconstruction Manager position in our Greenville, SC location . Project types include small to medium construction projects in Commercial, Healthcare, Industrial, Primary and Higher Education, Government, and Cultural Markets.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Senior Estimator will be responsible for all preconstruction services and project cost calculations and will work closely with Architects, Engineers, Owners, and Subcontractors to develop costs for Design-Build, Construction Manager at Risk, and Design-Bid-Build Projects.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare detailed conceptual cost estimates and conceptual cost studies from schematic or program-level documentation
• Prepare detailed estimates as the design evolves, including preparing variance summaries between estimates
• Must have knowledge and understanding of unit costs and other factors that affect construction cost
• Writing Subcontractor/Trade scopes of work
• Prepare bidding documents and detailed instructions to trade bidders
• Prepare clarifications and comprehensive cost proposals
• Lead the presentation of cost/budgets to the project team and Client
• Understanding of construction techniques, materials, and systems
• Utilize construction knowledge and research to provide Value Engineering solutions to the Client
• Team member for presentations or RFP responses and interviews
• Ability to develop business and nurture existing and new relationships
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities
• Lead junior estimators and interns to assist in the preparation of cost proposals

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Engineering or Construction Related Major Preferred
• Advanced knowledge of construction practices
• Strong Work Ethic and "Can Do" Attitude
• Proficient Computer Skills (Primavera Scheduling, Procore, OST, Earthworks, Etc.)
• Minimum five years of experience in construction estimating
