PRIMARY OBJECTIVE(S) OF POSITION

Working under general supervision diagnose and troubleshoot problems with industrial furnace combustion controls. Maintain combustion systems and testing to remain compliant with required industrial standards. Pay is base on experience from $26.00-$38.00/HR.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Comply with all the policies and procedures set forth in the Company Handbook. Ensure proper operation of combustion systems and equipment including burners, controllers, sensors, and other components. Diagnose, calibrate, and repair faulty operation of combustion systems and components. Troubleshoot and perform necessary repairs to malfunctioning equipment following electrical and safety codes. Maintain equipment calibration and repair history in the maintenance system. Have a good knowledge of industry standards of heat treating and maintain required equipment to preform to those standards. Perform regular testing of combustion systems including, system accuracy tests and surveys on furnaces. Develop and maintain documentation of testing schedules, create and maintain work instructions, complete and maintain required documentation of testing. Manage spare parts inventory of combustion components, secure quotes, and order needed parts. Maintain work area in a safe manner and keep a clean and orderly work area. Follow safety rules and regulations, participate in safety meetings and suggest ways for continual improvement. Participate in training sessions as required. Perform other duties and responsibilities as apparent and/or assigned.
