Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (CBT) - Enhanced Behavioral Supports Home

We are seeking a dedicated

Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (CBT)

to join our team in Vacaville, CA. The CBT Therapist will provide direct clinical support to residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities who exhibit challenging behaviors. The role involves developing and implementing individualized behavioral treatment plans, delivering evidence-based therapy, and working closely with an interdisciplinary team to promote stability and skill development.

Responsibilities

Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans using CBT methodologies tailored to residents with developmental disabilities. Provide 1:1 and group therapy sessions to address behavioral, emotional, and social challenges. Collaborate with clinical teams, direct support professionals (DSPs), Registered Behavior Therapists (RBT), administrators, and families to ensure continuity of care. Train and support staff on behavior intervention strategies consistent with residents' treatment plans. Monitor, document, and evaluate resident progress, adjusting interventions as needed. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, and consultations. Ensure compliance with Title 17/22, DDS, and CCLD regulations as they apply to Enhanced Behavioral Supports Homes.

Qualifications:

Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field. Current California licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, PsyD, or PhD in Clinical Psychology). Training and/or certification in

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

. Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD) and challenging behaviors strongly preferred. Familiarity with Enhanced Behavioral Supports Home (EBSH) model and positive behavioral interventions a plus. Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), crisis intervention, or trauma-informed care. Experience collaborating with Regional Centers, DDS, or community-based mental health programs. Ability to train and mentor staff on implementing behavioral strategies. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
Job Type: Contract

Pay: $80.00 - $100.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 1 per week
