Job Description

Coffee/Cocktail bar concept looking for qualified key team members to start us off each day on the right foot.

-Candidates will ideally be 21 years of age, as there is a liquor/bar component involved in the job, should have experience as a barista and be familiar with operations in a kitchen.

-Coffee operations consist of 2 Franke superautomatics providing quality beverages for in house guests as well as a single lane drive thru.

-Day bar program will be limited, mostly serving Mimosas, Bloody Marys, wine and beer.

-Food Program will consist of breakfast pastries, a few toasted options and a few heat-and-serve items. Ideally, three people will share the job of opening at 7am, seven days a week. Kitchen prep and light food assembly will be a part of the position.

-Our building/space has been curated to showcase the aesthetics of light and tone, and the ideal candidate should bring a style which is personally curated to shine their inner light.

-Pay rate is plus tips and hourly rate is dependent on experience

Job Summary

We are seeking a stylish, dynamic and experienced daytime Barista to operate in our coffee bar operations and ensure a high-quality experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess good understanding of the food and beverage industry, and the ability to work within a team effectively. This role involves working with fellow staff, alerting to low inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while delivering exceptional service.

Duties

Operating daily coffee bar, including cash/server checkout handling), working posted schedule, assisting in inventory management, and maintaining supplies in line with pars. Understanding and executing drink preparation, customer service standards, and food handling practices. Compliance with all health and safety regulations related to food service and alcohol consumption. Contributing to an innovative drink menu that align with current trends and customer preferences. Assisting in coffee/bar performance metrics to optimize profitability while maintaining quality standards. Fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and professional growth among staff. Handling customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner to ensure satisfaction. Coordinating with the culinary team to ensure seamless service between the coffee bar and kitchen.

Experience

Experience in a restaurant/cafe setting or a similar role within the food industry is preferred . Strong knowledge of food safety practices, including food handling and safety regulations. Experience with Toast systems is preferred. Demonstrated abilities with a focus on working well with other staff members. Culinary experience is a plus, food knowledge and vocabulary are prioritized. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with both guests and team members are required.
