Coffee Shop Aide
Good Samaritan University Hospital Medical Center is a 537- bed (including 100 nursing home beds) teaching hospital and a member of Catholic Health. With almost 900 physicians on staff, and a level II Trauma Center, we care for well over 100,000 patients annually across the south shore of Long Island. The Coffee Shop Aide prepares and serves food to staff and visitors, demonstrating appropriate customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Replenishing food, beverages, paper goods, and condiments as necessary
- Cash register operation
- Cash handling and related record keeping
- Following safe food handling as per HACCP guidelines
- Operates, cleans, and maintains coffee shop equipment
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or relevant experience is required
- Must have strong communication (both oral & written)
- Cash handling and customer service skills
- Must be flexible with schedule (Weekends, Days, Evenings & Holidays are required) and able to work in stressful environment
- Able to read and write legibly, bilingual, preferred
- Able to sweep, mop and clean cooking surfaces
