Job Summary



We are seeking a highly experienced Senior COBOL CICS Developer to join our development and support team. This role involves supporting, enhancing, and maintaining the statewide SNAP/TANF Eligibility Determination system. Responsibilities include integrating the legacy environment with new technologies and automating existing processes.

Required Technical Skills



20+ years of enterprise system programming using COBOL/CICS with ADABAS Strong experience troubleshooting complex SNAP/TANF eligibility determination systems Hands-on experience in Linux environments using MicroFocus COBOL/Enterprise Developer Ability to build new screens and functionalities into existing legacy systems 6+ years analyzing, designing, and programming large-scale IBM Mainframe/Linux systems 6+ years working with automated eligibility systems such as SNAP, TANF, SNAP E&T, Benefits, and Benefit Recovery 3+ years providing SME-level support for Mainframe CICS system architecture

Business / Functional Skills



Ability to recommend system and process improvements (6+ years) Experience developing, maintaining, and updating system documentation (6+ years) Strong knowledge of SNAP/TANF eligibility, economic assistance policies, and related state/federal mandates * Experience interpreting and implementing mandates in systems like MAVS
