Coating Specialist-Grinder-Polisher

Prepares concrete surfaces for industrial floor coatings, installs industrial floor coatings (Epoxies, urethanes, cove base), polishes concrete surfaces by grinding and honing. Assists in keeping job trailers and warehouse space cleaned and organized, maintains flooring equipment, assists in ensuring proper supplies are on-hand to complete assigned tasks. Works effectively as a member of a team, while continuously striving to improve and develop individual skills and knowledge. Observes and adheres to company and client policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

Organizes, supervises, leads and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames. Adhere to all client-required safety policies and procedures. Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions on construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside and inside weather conditions. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. push, pull, lift and carry heavy objects (up to 100 pounds), walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee will use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus with or without glasses or contacts.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Saturday, 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., 40+ hours per week. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel Only some travel is expected for this position, the majority of work will be done locally.

Required Education and Experience o Concrete polishing and or epoxy flooring: 1 year o High school education

Valid Driver's License Ability to pass background test and drug screen o Experience with Epoxy Coatings/Urethanes/Stains/Concrete Polish/Waterproofing/Caulking Trowel/Roller Experience Cove Base/Quartz/Paint Flake/ Metallics
Preferred Education and Experience

3 years of related experience or training Strong knowledge of construction OSHA 10 hour certified Competent person training
