We\'re currently in search of a dedicated and forward-thinking CNO Computer Architect to join us in Hanover, Maryland. In this role, you\'ll have the chance to create novel solutions by integrating existing technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a 50-member team as a vital part of our leadership, driving the development and execution of a strategic plan to modernize the architecture of a live operational system.

Shape the hardware and software architecture of an existing system, transitioning it from an on-premises setup to a cutting-edge microservice, event-driven architecture deployed on commercial cloud platforms.

Develop solutions for new capabilities and provide recommendations for enhancing existing features.

Take the helm of the Architecture Review Board, collaborating with experts, developers, and system administrators.

Research and propose new technologies to optimize system performance.

Analyze user requirements to formulate software design and performance specifications.

Investigate system flow, data usage, and workflow processes to identify and address problem areas.

Basic Qualifications:

A minimum of 15 years in software engineering (with a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree) or, if degree is not held, 19 years of programming experience.

Or Master\'s degree can substitute for 2 years of experience (MS Degree + 13 years).

Proficiency in structured analysis and design methodologies.

Familiarity with cloud technologies, including microservices and containerization.

Understanding of both relational and NoSQL databases.

Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability in creating and delivering technology roadmaps.

Proven track record with complex deployed systems.

Embraces collaboration and possesses excellent communication skills.

Proficiency in Atlassian Tools (Confluence, Jira, Bamboo, Crucible).

Knowledge of Event Driven Architectures.

Understanding of CNO Development Environments.

Strong knowledge of Java, Python, Kubernetes, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, QEMU), and Kafka.

Security Clearance Requirements:

Active and current TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit in a stationary position for up to 50% of work time.

Consistent use of computers and other office equipment.

Frequent communication with colleagues, management, and clients, including presentation delivery.

Regular engagement in repetitive motions.
