Step into a 3rd-shift role where precision, problem solving, and craftsmanship meet. As our CNC Turret Punch Press Technician, you'll set up and run a turret press (Amada) to produce high-quality parts consistently and safely in a temperature-controlled environment.

Day in the Life

Prepare the machine: insert, align, and lock punches and dies in the turret; align the workpiece to scales and end gauges; clamp securely to the table. Dial in the work: rotate the turret to the specified punch and die, adjust forward and lateral scales to the required dimensions, and position the center punch to scratch layout lines. Run production: activate the punch via foot pedal and repeat operations for each setting according to charts and job documentation. Translate drawings into action: read blueprints and operation sheets, compute punch charts from prints, and punch holes in nonmetallic materials as specified. Verify quality: use calipers (dial and vernier), micrometers, squares, and height gauges; follow AQL and work instructions; report dimensional or set-up issues to your supervisor or set-up lead. Own your numbers: maintain accurate counts of good and scrapped parts; complete production paperwork and input required data into the Traverse Manufacturing System. Care for your tools and space: keep tools and gauges clean and orderly, report any equipment malfunctions immediately, and maintain a safe, tidy work area.

What You Bring

High school diploma or equivalent 1+ year of related experience and/or training on turret punch operations Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagrammed instructions; recognize dimensional or setup issues and seek help when needed Solid math skills (units of measure, fractions, decimals, whole numbers) Blueprint and operation sheet literacy to determine correct setups and operations Capability to set up and operate a Turret Punch Press and maintain data in the Traverse Manufacturing System Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
