Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor to oversee manufacturing operations within our advanced facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in machining, fabrication, and automation, along with proven leadership abilities. This role involves managing production processes, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining safety protocols to optimize efficiency and productivity in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily operations on the manufacturing floor, including machining, assembly, fabrication, and packaging processes. Coordinate and prioritize work schedules to meet production targets while maintaining high quality standards. Oversee the setup and operation of CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC programming tools. Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues with Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other automation systems. Ensure adherence to safety procedures, including proper use of hand tools, welding equipment, stamping presses, press brake machines, and materials handling techniques. Conduct quality control inspections utilizing precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers; interpret blueprints and GD&T specifications for accurate fabrication. Lead continuous improvement initiatives by implementing best practices in machining, tooling management, and process optimization. Maintain documentation related to manufacturing processes, tooling setups, and inspection reports. Train and mentor team members on equipment operation, safety standards, and quality procedures. Collaborate with engineering teams on CAD designs, SolidWorks models, CAM programming, and fabrication projects.

Skills

Extensive knowledge of CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, CAM programming, and blueprint reading. Proficiency with Fanuc controls and PLC systems for automation troubleshooting. Experience operating various manufacturing equipment including stamping presses, press brakes, welding tools, forklifts, and hand tools. Strong understanding of GD&T principles for precision measurement using calipers and micrometers. Mechanical knowledge related to machining processes, fabrication techniques, tooling setup, and materials handling. Familiarity with factory operations within manufacturing facilities emphasizing quality control and process efficiency. Ability to read technical drawings accurately and interpret complex blueprints for assembly line tasks. Knowledge of SolidWorks for design review or modification purposes is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with basic math proficiency necessary for precise measurements and calculations. Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment with a focus on safety compliance and team development.
