CNC Lathe Machinist Position Summary:

Are you a skilled CNC Machinist looking for a challenging opportunity to put your expertise to work on advanced machinery? Our team requires a Machinist who can handle complex projects using Doosan and DMG Mori machines with y-axis lathes, live tooling, and sub spindles. Join us in producing high-quality, intricate parts made from aluminum, plastic, and steel, showcasing your precision and skill in a diverse range of projects.

CNC Lathe Machinist Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC turning machine centers, specifically Doosan and DMG Mori machines, with Twin Spindle
• Perform MDI (Manual Data Input) programming for efficient part production.
• Conduct manual inspection using gauges and instruments to ensure part quality before submitting to the Quality Department for CMM inspection
• Understand GD&T and interpret complex 2-D drawings.
• Monitor and inspect parts throughout the machining process.
• Follow company quality and safety procedures.
• Communicate and collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues.
• Participate in Lean manufacturing events to improve processes.

CNC Lathe Machinist Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associate degree in a relevant field, or 3+ years of experience in turning center machining, or 5 years of overall CNC machining experience.
• Familiarity with Doosan and DMG Mori machine operation.
• Experience working with various materials, such as aluminum, plastic, and steel
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with manual inspection using gauges and instruments in support of CMM inspection by the Quality Department
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
• Capable of handling sensitive and sometimes confidential information.
• Good communication skills for effective teamwork.
