CNC Operator
to help bring our custom display designs to life.
Position Summary
The
CNC Operator
is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC router machines to produce wooden parts and components according to production drawings and specifications. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of woodworking tools and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Operate CNC router to cut wood panels and components based on programmed files.
Set up machines, load materials, secure workpieces, and install tools as needed.
Inspect materials before and after machining to ensure quality and accuracy.
Maintain proper machine speeds, feeds, and tool paths during operation.
Keep accurate production records and report any issues or material shortages.
Perform routine machine maintenance, such as cleaning, lubrication, and bit changes.
Work closely with CNC programmers and other shop staff to optimize workflow.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
2+ years of CNC operation experience in woodworking, cabinetry, or similar field preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work orders.
Familiar with CNC routers and woodworking tools.
Mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills.
Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
Preferred Skills
Experience with CNC routers.
Basic knowledge of AutoCad, VCarve Pro CNC software.
Previous Experience programming in VCarve Pro
Understanding of wood materials and cutting tool types.
