The

CNC Programmer

candidate at Stretch Forming Corporation is expected to have a comprehensive understanding of all CNC machining and programming operations. This role is tasked with working in close concert with machinists, leads, engineering teams, and machining operations management to increase productivity and optimize machining programs and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Use of NX or MasterCam CAD/CAM/CAE program to program CNC parts

Simulate NC files as well as maintain revision control on programs and setup sheets

Knowledge of cutting tools and adjusting speed and feed parameters for maximum tool life

Constantly keeps products moving and alerts management when production is inhibited

Provides consistent ideas for process improvements

Mentors motivated machinists with programming knowledge

Turn-key part manufacturing involving planning tools and materials, programming and machining parts for critical part processes

Machining parts occasionally to assist the shop floor when machining is backlogged

Complete understanding of machine control management, including mastering all machine code terminology, and usage, along with macro programming usage

Awareness of cutting tool technology, to support application optimization

Complete understanding and awareness of measurement tool usage

Complete understanding of work-holding strategies and usage

Ability to communicate application status both to department team and level associates, in terms of application status, issues, and requirements

Trouble-shooting skills and ability to think critically

Must be able to work independently, but also demonstrate an ability to work productively within the department team

Ability to read prints and update paperwork neatly, accurately, and in an organized manner

Post and simulation development

Provide constant and accurate updates to team via text and/or email

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalency certificate

5+ years of CNC programming experience using NX software

Experience with programming and operating multi-axis mill CNC machines

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

10+ years of CNC programming experience using NX or MasterCam software

Ability to program in both NX and MasterCam

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be available for overtime and weekend hours

Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted

Ability to stand for extended periods - 8 hours min

Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces

Ability to work in an environment with repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range for CNC Programmer: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
