Job Description

Position Summary

Experienced CNC machinist that can setup, breakdown, program, and run a 4 axis CNC milling machine and CNC lather to produce non-defective, quality, and compliant metal parts. Below is a minimal representation of what is expected.

Responsibilities

Can read drawings an understands GD & T Setup and breakdown machine(s) according to setup sheet Correctly install necessary tooling, inserts, reamers, drills, etc Verify tools are in good functioning condition Install fixture(s) in CNC machine properly Load machining program Modify and/ or create CNC program Verify part compliance with drawings, prints, and/or other documents Accurate use of micrometers, calipers, and/or CMM machine Operate CNC machine to produce accurate, non-defective, quality parts Able to operate multiple CNC machines (at same time depending on cycle times) Can operate 4-axis machines (Fanuc controls) Can operate CNC Lathe (occasional use)
Requirements

Must be experienced (minimum of 2 years). Be on time and at your station ready to work when your shift starts. Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear) Teamwork and communication skills Can properly use and understand measurements made with micrometer, calipers, and CMM machine
Physical Demands

Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to occasionally lift heavy objects (up to 40 lbs).
Work Environment

Manufacturing environment including loud noise levels (at times), heat, dirt, and dust; safety shoes, and safety glasses are a must
