Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer - Milling Manager to lead our precision manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in CNC programming, particularly with milling machines, and have a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and quality standards. This role involves managing CNC machining projects, developing efficient programs, and ensuring high-quality output through advanced technical skills and leadership. Duties



Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC programs for milling machines using CAM software such as Mastercam or SolidWorks CAM. Lead the setup and operation of CNC milling equipment, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards. Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and GD&T to produce precise components. Collaborate with engineering teams to review designs created in CAD software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA for manufacturability. Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality control processes. Supervise tooling selection and management to ensure optimal machining performance. Train and mentor team members on CNC programming techniques, machine operation, and quality standards. Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to electrical discharge machining (EDM), machining operations, and equipment handling. Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, tooling configurations, and process improvements.

Requirements



Proven experience with CNC programming for milling machines using Fanuc controls or similar systems. Strong proficiency in CAD/CAM software including SolidWorks, CATIA, and Mastercam. In-depth knowledge of GD&T principles, blueprint reading, schematics, and geometric tolerancing. Mechanical knowledge related to tooling selection, machining processes, geometry calculations, and schematics interpretation. Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies to streamline production workflows. Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong math fundamentals relevant to machining tolerances and calculations. Leadership qualities with the ability to manage projects effectively while fostering a collaborative team environment. Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 - 50.0 per week
