What You\'ll Do as a CNC Machinist
Under the direction of the Value Stream Manager and Manufacturing Supervisor, this position is responsible for setting up and operating one or more NC or CNC machines to perform drilling, tapping, milling, boring and other machine operations over a wide range of surfaces, diameters and depths. Job setups may be complex and require machining to very close tolerances.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:

• Set up and run CNC mills and lathes, along with altering CNC programs
• Evaluate tool wear and make offsets as necessary
• Load and unload parts into machine
• Check product for conformity to specifications and ensure proper handling of nonconforming product
• Comply with all management systems set in place by ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001.
• Tear down set up and return tooling and fixtures to designated location.
• Perform secondary operations, such as counter bore, drill press, arbor press, deburr, Burgmaster, sub-assemblies, and packaging.
• Adhere to 5S+1 program.
• Must adhere to all safety programs including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

CNC Machinist Physical Requirements

• Continuous standing; repetitive motion of hand/wrist.
• Ability to lift 1-40 pounds independently.
• Intermittent bending; crouching; repetitive motion of elbow/shoulder; pushing/pulling.

CNC Machinist Work Environment

• Exposure to typical manufacturing areas and will require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses, and in some areas hearing protection may be required.
• The work environment may include their own workstation equipped with a computer as required for the job.
• Team member must be mobile enough to navigate the manufacturing shop floor safely including walking and standing for up to four hours at a time.

• High School Graduate or equivalent. Trade school experience in a related field a plus.
• Minimum of 6 months CNC machine operating experience
• CNC programming experience a plus
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written machining procedures.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and set up sheets.
• Knowledge of Fanuc controls and ability to read and follow program, including feeds, speeds, G codes, M codes.
• Ability to use basic measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, holetest, dial indicator, edge finder, height gauge, depth micrometer, and fixed gauges.
• Knowledge of basic shop math.
