Compensation:

$22.82 - $34.24 / hour, 25% Shift Differential

Summary:



The CNC Machinist I will be responsible for operating CNC lathes and milling machines to manufacture high-precision parts from various metal materials. This individual will interpret engineering drawings and use precision instruments to ensure conformance to tight specifications.

Machine parts to specification using machine tools such as lathes and milling machines Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering instructions, and specifications Set up, adjust, and operate both basic and specialized CNC machine tools Secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to machines Ensure parts are properly lubricated and cooled Measure, examine, and test parts to detect defects and ensure conformance using micrometers and other precision tools Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment to remove debris and prevent contamination Maintain documentation and records for in-process inspection data Report unusual conditions or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel Follow all safety protocols and housekeeping standards Use shop tools, engineered gaging, and CNC systems to hold close tolerances Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:



Must meet U.S. government definition of a "U.S. Person" and be able to handle ITAR-regulated materials High school diploma or GED Functional reading, writing, and math skills Proficiency in reading and understanding engineering instructions Familiarity with CNC turning and milling machine operations Basic knowledge of appropriate cutting speeds and feeds for various materials Understanding of G-code and M-code programming

Preferred Qualifications:



Precision Manufacturing Certificate Ability to measure using a variety of shop and machine tools to close tolerances Experience communicating professionally at all organizational levels Knowledge of standard business practices and shop safety protocols

Physical Requirements:



Ability to lift up to 35 pounds Must be able to stand, sit, bend, and climb stairs for extended periods
