Position Summary

The CNC Machinist I is responsible for planning and executing CNC turning and milling operations to produce high-precision metal parts. This role works under the direction of the Operations Manager and is essential to maintaining quality manufacturing standards.


Compensation: $22.82 - $34.24 / hour, 15% Shift Differential

Essential Functions

Operate CNC lathes, milling machines, and related tools to machine parts to specifications Interpret blueprints, engineering instructions, and specifications Set up, adjust, and operate basic and specialized machine tools Secure tools, fixtures, and materials to machines accurately Monitor lubrication and cooling during machine operations Measure, examine, and test completed parts for conformance using precision instruments such as micrometers Perform machine cleaning and lubrication to maintain functionality Maintain accurate records of in-process inspection data

Minimum Requirements

Must qualify as a "U.S. Person" per government regulations for ITAR compliance High school diploma or GED equivalent At least 1 year of CNC machining experience

Preferred Qualifications

Certificate in Precision Manufacturing Functional proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills Ability to interpret engineering documentation and machining instructions Experience operating CNC turning and milling equipment Familiarity with G & M codes Ability to measure to tight tolerances using standard shop tools and engineered gauges Willingness to travel domestically up to 10%

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs Requires extended periods of sitting, standing, and stair climbing Must be able to work in an active production environment
